My name is Masomi Mrema, and I am a special education teacher within the Vallejo Unified School District. I have been dedicated to the teaching profession for the past 11 years. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from California State University, East Bay; a Preliminary and Clear Credential from Touro University; and I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction at Grand Canyon University. I am an outgoing and open-minded individual who values the unique contributions of each person. I believe that informed democratic decision-making is essential in promoting a voice for all members of our community.One of my key professional accomplishments is my ability to address and resolve behavioral challenges in the classroom by implementing systems that foster a positive learning environment, thereby supporting student success. I have developed effective classroom management strategies, including ensuring that all necessary learning tools are accessible to students at all times and maintaining a consistent daily schedule to reinforce newly acquired skills. I am committed to lifelong learning and continuously seek to acquire new skills and strategies that can enhance student engagement and achievement. My goal is to empower and motivate students to reach their full potential. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with friends, ministering to the elderly community, and traveling.
